POOL MAINTENANCE

At Sidewinder Custom Pools, we believe that pool maintenance should be as easy as our pools are beautiful.  Properly designed swimming pools don’t need constant supervision.  In fact, you should be able to spend about as much time maintaining your pool as it takes to put gas in your car.

8 ITEMS TO MAKE POOL MAINTENANCE EASIER

1.    Large Cartridge Filter.  Saves time and water.  Usually cleaned 3 to 4 times per year

2.    Energy efficient pumps. Save energy and move more water for better circulation

3.    In-floor cleaning system.  Automatically cleans the pool floor, benches, steps and spa.  No hoses or robots to remove when enjoying the pool.

4.   Skimmers.  Well placed and designed skimmers take advantage of wind patterns to help move surface debris in the proper direction.

5.    Mineral sanitizers.  Cut down on chlorine use and make water feel better.  Less trips to the store to buy chlorine.

6.    Ozone generators. Constantly rids pool of chloramines so chlorine can do a better job.  Replaces the old “shock the pool” maintenance.

7.    Automatic water levelers.  Keep pool water at a constant level.  No more setting the oven timer so you won’t forget to turn off the water to the pool.  Saves money on water.

8.    Computerized water testing.  Bring your pool water to us every month or two to make sure the chemistry is correct. This is also a good time to find new products that will make water chemistry even easier.

Why no salt chlorine generator?  Although these types of equipment are good in other parts of the country, they have a hard time in Arizona.  Our water is hard to start with and when you add high evaporation rates which leave minerals in the water, chlorine generators have a difficult time keeping themselves clean so they can function properly.  Chlorine generators work well for the first couple of years but then the water is hard enough to cause problems and clients are blaming the units rather than the real culprit, the water.
